Overview

Grant Solder Sports Agency is London’s largest leading sports agency, founded over fifteen years ago by Grant Solder; former England international table tennis player. Grant Solder Sports Agency provides coaches for all sports to primary and secondary school, special schools, independent schools, school-sports partnerships, sports clubs, local authorities, charities, housing associations, pupil referral units and youth offending teams in and around the capital.

Ethos

We believe in promoting excellence through hard work and determination in a fun environment that encourages participants to enjoy what they are doing. This friendly atmosphere allows the young people involved to develop their self-esteem, social skills and confidence as well as develop the physical skills involved with their chosen sport. We believe in delivering inclusive programmes that cater for children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, including children with special needs.

Timeline

• 1997 - Grant Solder sets up Grant Solder Sports Agency
• 2000 - Grant Solder Sports Agency becomes part of the Tower Hamlets Summer University sports program
• 2000 - Grant Solder Sports Agency begins to establish partnerships that provide funding for the coaching schemes
• 2004 - Morpeth Schools Table Tennis team, Tower Hamlets, win Silver medal at England Schools National Team Final
• 2004 - Sally Hoang, Globe Primary School represents England and wins Gold medal at the British Primary School Championships
• 2004 - Grant Solder named England Table Tennis Association Senior Coach of the Year 2004
• 2006 - Created over 40 jobs for professional Sports Coaches which have been provided to schools and organisations in and around the capital for a variety of sports
• 2006 - Grant Solder Sports Agency develops Coach Education Schemes which train and develops former pupils to become coaches for Grant Solder Sports Agency
• 2009 - Grant Solder Sports Agency provides coaches to over 60 schools per week, creating numerous coaching positions within our organisation for a variety of sports
• 2009 - Ashley Facey Thompson wins Gold and Silver medals at the National Disability Table Tennis Championships
• 2009 - Grant Solder Sports Agency wins the Sun and Barclays Britains Best Local Business Award
• 2009 - Morpeth School U16 girls team get selected by the English Schools Table Tennis Association to be Englands sole representative at the ISF World Schools Table Tennis Championships 2010 in the Czech Republic
• 2009 - Morpeth Schools Under 16 girls team, Tower Hamlets, become English Schools National Team Champions>
• 2010 onwards - Creating more partnerships and success with you and your young people
